Kisspeptin-10 (peptide YNWNSFGLRF-NH₂) consists of 10 amino acids. Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest biologically active fragment of full-length Kisspeptin-54, and serves as a potent agonist of the kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R / GPR54), a G-protein-coupled receptor primarily expressed in gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neurons within the hypothalamus.

1,300.44 Da Kisspeptin-10 has been identified as a key upstream regulator of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) release in studies. It acts as a stimulus to GnRH neurons that, in turn, stimulate the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) from the anterior pituitary gland. How Kisspeptin-10 Differs from Kisspeptin-54

Kisspeptin-10 is an endogenous C-terminal decapeptide fragment of Kisspeptin-54.
