What is DSIP 5mg?

DSIP is a peptide consisting of 9 amino acids with an amino acid sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu. It was originally isolated from rabbit blood during sleep research in 1974 and subsequently synthesized for experimental purposes.

DSIP vs Other Sleep-Related Peptides

Unlike many other research peptides, DSIP is not associated with either sleep or stress. Unlike orexin-based peptides or melatonin analogues, which are also being investigated as sedatives, DSIP is not studied for its ability to induce a specific state of sedation but rather to enhance natural delta sleep patterns. DSIP also remains of interest for research on its more subtle physiological modulation of sleep stages and stress hormone regulation as compared to sedative compounds.
